Visit the Mendocino Coast

The Mendocino Coast is one of California’s Best kept secrets. When visiting Mendocino walk along the rugged coast to watch the waves or kayak through the sea caves off of Little River beach. On the way to the coast, stop in to do some wine tasting in the Anderson Valley and pick up some tree ripened fruit at an orchard fruit stand.

Plan a luxurious weekend at a victorian bed and breakfast and shop in the unique boutiques of Mendocino Village or grab a camping spot at one of the many California State Parks. Then build a bomb-fire on the beach, roast some marshmallows and watch the sunset.

Despite the fact that Mendocino is only three hours from San Francisco, it’s beautiful beaches and charming hotels are uncrowded. There are a limited number of hotel rooms and campsites in the area, basically demand exceeds supply in the busier summer months so make your reservations in advance.
