When is the Best Time to Go on the Annapurna Circuit?

The best time to trek Annapurna is  March – April and September – November.

  • The Rhododendrons are in bloom in March and April.
  • September sees some late monsoonal rain, so the bulk of the trekking in the mornings.
  • Some tour operators say the  best month to go is October because it is the driest month some prefer the spring.
  • November is much colder, especially at the high elevations. The pass may get completely snowed-in.
  • Avoid the monsoon season (rainy season) of May to August.
  • During the winter months, December – February, there snow on the ground and hiking is possible.
